Josh Pullinger
Landscaping Knowledge Built from the Ground Up
Josh Pullinger’s career in landscaping began with a gardener’s apprenticeship and a hands-on education in working with the land. He trained under an experienced North London gardener, learning how to prune, plant, maintain and understand gardens through the changing seasons. That early grounding gave him a practical understanding of how outdoor spaces work, not just how they look.
Years spent on the tools taught Josh the details that make a garden last: how ground conditions affect a build, what a terrace needs beneath it, how materials perform over time, and why every successful project depends on careful preparation as much as the finished result.
Pullinger Landscapes was founded to bring that practical knowledge into every stage of a project. The aim was simple: to create gardens that are well considered, properly built and suited to the homes they belong to.
That is still how we work today. Josh leads each project personally and stays closely involved throughout the build, from a courtyard in Islington to a family garden in Muswell Hill.

Pullinger Landscapes is led by its founder, Josh Pullinger. Josh’s background is rooted in practical landscaping. He began with a gardener’s apprenticeship and spent years working hands-on before building Pullinger Landscapes into a company focused on creating well-considered, properly built outdoor spaces. He remains closely involved in every project, from the early planning stages through to construction and final planting. His practical experience means each garden is approached with a clear understanding of how it will be built, how the materials will perform, and how the finished space will work in real life.
Josh leads an experienced team at Pullinger Landscapes, supported where needed by trusted specialist trades. This ensures every part of the project is handled properly, from groundwork and construction through to planting and finishing.

Real stone, proper foundations, work you can’t see done as carefully as the work you can. It’s why our gardens age well.
